Heather Brindza

New Farmer Academy Intern

Heather is a lover of all things hands-on and DIY.  After graduating from Ohio University with her BA in Studio Arts and Anthropology, she served with AmeriCorps in rural West Virginia and Southern Ohio learning about historic preservation and community maker-spaces. Since then, she has gotten back into her hobby for making art and has been creating and selling handmade and painted pieces for the last year. Working with her hands and learning new skills and sustainable practices is a passion of Heather’s, and she is looking forward to doing just that this upcoming season! She is taking on this internship with the hopes that she will learn how to be more self-resilient, as well as dive deeper into the world of sustainable agriculture and food access.
