Farm Intern
My professional background is in conservation, where my focus of research was on Ohio’s local flora and local natural ecosystems. I am currently a student in Lorain County Community College’s Sustainable Agriculture program. My dream is to build a small, family-operated farm business. The vision I have for the farm is a little atypical and is driven by my love for science, plants, and nature. Through my previous career field, I developed a passion for conservation, education, and a belief in environmentally responsible living. I want to establish my farm in a way so that I’m able to contribute and give back to my community. I would like for the farm to be an educational resource, in addition to providing healthy foods through environmentally conscious methods.
Additionally, I’m grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Countryside Food and
Farms New Farmer Internship program, where I hope to attain the practical skills to
achieve my small farm dream.
