One of the absolute best parts of my job is getting to work with some pretty fantastic people every Sunday! Since Countryside Public Market’s one year anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks, I wanted to give some appreciation and talk about all of our wonderful vendors!

Agreeing to take on a brand new market is not easy! It certainly has its ups and downs and growing the market can feel a bit like growing pains at times. It’s an investment of their time, resources and energy. One might ask why they would take on the risk. From my perspective, they do it because they believe in their products, the importance of supporting each other and they see the potential of what this market will become. For some, there isn’t an option of whether or not they would do this type of work but more of a responsibility to do it and I am honored they have chosen to bring their products to Countryside Public Market. I have so much respect for the work that they do and I am beyond grateful to all of our vendors for believing in Countryside and going on this wonderful journey with us! I’m so excited for the future of Countryside Public Market as we continue to grow the market together.

If you aren’t familiar with the current lineup of Countryside Public Market vendors, please allow me to introduce you to: Front 9, Let’s Grow Akron, Urban Honey Bee, Savory Snackage, Chocolate Harmony, Juliabelle’s Seasonings, Rubs and Mixes, Western Reserve Heritage Seed Co, Let’s Get Bked, Snowmon’s Kombucha, NOSH Butters, My Healthy Pet Treats, Pierogi Pantry and Breakaway Coffee. To everyone listed here, thank you for all of the hard work and love you put into not only your products, but in the market as well! An additional thank you goes out to all of the other local businesses that work with us to bring you their products every week through our Countryside Cheese program: Old Forge Dairy, Lucky Penny, Yellow House Cheese, Mackenzie Creamery, Canal Junction, Kokoborrego Cheese Company, Brimfield Bread Oven, Barton Farms and Gardens, BJ Gourmet Garlic, Dillon Fruit Farm, Mud Run Farm, Pickle Patch Acres, Purplebrown Farmstead, Le Cracker, Storehouse Tea and Sunsational Oil.

Please join us this Sunday from 10am-2pm for our one year anniversary celebration! We’ll be doing a chili contest for anyone interested in submitting their best batch of chili made with local ingredients! We’ll also have a food demo, children’s activities, free cake and delicious fall products like pumpkin doughnuts! For more information, head on over to our Facebook Events page!

I’ll see you at the market!
